COMMISSIONS
2008 Private Commission, “The Taj” , a two by eight foot collage using photographs and transparencies on aluminum, in collaboration with the owner/ designer, and using the architectural elements of his dwelling as well as other imagery, as abstraction.
1998-2008 Patapsco Greenway Heritage Documentary Project, Baltimore, MD. Commissioned by The Maryland Historical Trust. Sixty black and white environmental portraits of people living in the historic towns of Ellicott City, Oella, Elkridge and Relay, Maryland. Collaborated with historian/writer, Allison Kahn. Traveling. Accepted into The Library of Congress Bicentennial ‘Local Legacies”. Additional grant from the Maryland Historical Trust enabled us to make images and essays of the places and to edit the oral histories accompanying the portraits, into book form. Projected publication date by The Center for American places is September, 2008, "Patapsco: Life Along Maryland's Historic River"
2001 Mayor’s Commission on Arts and Culture, Baltimore, MD. “Fish out of Water”. One of 60 artist-designed fish, that were displayed around Baltimore. With Sydney Hopkins.
1998 Artscape, Awarded one of ten “ Viewing Stations” to design and execute for Artscape. Baltimore, MD.
1992 National Park Service, Faneuil Hall. 3 hand painted murals of historic Photographs Boston, MA.
1988-1996 Baltimore Mass Transit Authority, Commission. Johns Hopkins Hospital Metro. “Lost in the Cosmos” a two-hundred ft. multi-imaged fantasy about traveling. Porcelain enamel on steel. Worked with architects and engineers.
1984 Maryland Art Place, 50 painted photographs.
1979-1980 Equitable Trust Photographic Survey of Maryland, Documented rural life among the people of St. Mary’s County and urban renewal in Fells Point, an historic district in Baltimore, MD. Sponsored by The Equitable Trust Bank, and the Maryland Institute of Art. The Exhibition traveled, annual report.
